Imran Moorad is a patent engineer for Kondori & Moorad, providing both educational and professional experience across multiple technical disciplines to aid in the law firm’s intellectual property practice.
Imran obtained his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from George Mason University, and as a result, initially worked in the construction industry, with professional experience at Manhattan Construction and HITT construction, participating in various municipality projects in the Northern Virginia area. Imran then transitioned into the Information Technology sector serving as a network engineer for private government defense contractors, such as CACI, where he was responsible for managing and implementing numerous networking assignments across the East Coast.
A large chunk of Imran’s professional experience; however, lies in his experience at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where Imran spent eight years examining patent applications in Technology Center 2400, particularly with inventions related to computer engineering and social networking. After receiving multiple promotions as a result of his performance, Imran left the federal government to help start a successful IT solutions company in the DC metropolitan area, adding entrepreneurship and business development to his personal repertoire.
