Jill Jenkinson, LMSW, ACM, is a Healthcare Paralegal at Kondori & Moorad, LLP. Drawing upon approximately three decades of experience in healthcare, social work, case management, rehabilitation, and long-term care, she assists with the public-benefits, insurance, court-reporting, and healthcare obligations associated with guardianship and conservatorship matters.
Jill manages Medicaid applications and recertifications for incapacitated adults served by the firm. She communicates with local Departments of Social Services, obtains and organizes financial and healthcare documentation, responds to requests for additional information, and helps ensure that applications and renewals are completed accurately and on time.
Her work is essential to securing and maintaining healthcare coverage and long-term-care benefits for individuals who may otherwise be unable to pay for necessary services. She evaluates benefit requirements, monitors eligibility issues, and works to resolve questions involving income, resources, insurance, facility status, and continuing Medicaid coverage.
Jill also manages health-insurance matters for incapacitated adults. She communicates with insurers, healthcare providers, facilities, government agencies, and other professionals to address coverage, enrollment, claims, coordination of benefits, and changes in an individual’s medical or residential circumstances.
She prepares and files the Annual Guardianship Reports required by the courts. These reports document the individual’s living arrangement, medical condition, services, care, significant decisions, visits, and continuing need for guardianship. Her healthcare and social-work experience allows her to evaluate and present this information with appropriate detail and context.
Before joining Kondori & Moorad, Jill spent nearly thirty years working with patients and families throughout Northern Virginia. Her professional background includes service in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and long-term-care facilities, where she assisted patients and families with healthcare decisions, discharge planning, residential placement, benefits, and access to community resources.
Jill is a Licensed Master Social Worker and an Accredited Case Manager. She earned her Master of Social Work and has spent her career helping individuals and families navigate complex medical, residential, financial, and personal circumstances.
She is also involved with Serve A Village, a nonprofit organization supporting underserved communities. Through that work, she has participated in programs in Kenya involving women’s health, community-health education, local clinics, and orphanages.
Jill is a member of the National Guardianship Association and a commissioned Virginia Notary Public.
