Ruben Munoz, NCG, is a Fiduciary Paralegal at Kondori & Moorad, LLP. His work is concentrated in probate and estate administration, with additional experience in guardianship, conservatorship, elder law, trust administration, and related fiduciary matters.
Ruben helps manage probate matters from the initial qualification of the personal representative through final distribution and closing. His responsibilities include preparing qualification materials, gathering information concerning heirs and beneficiaries, identifying and collecting assets, communicating with financial institutions, addressing liabilities, and assisting with the transfer or distribution of estate property.
He prepares petitions, court filings, notices, and other documents arising during estate administration. He also assists with inventories, fiduciary accountings, creditor matters, debts-and-demands proceedings, show-cause hearings, and the procedural requirements imposed by courts and Commissioners of Accounts.
Ruben’s role requires him to maintain a detailed understanding of the status of each estate, identify outstanding requirements, coordinate financial and legal information, and ensure that personal representatives understand the steps necessary to fulfill their duties. His experience helps keep matters organized while reducing delays caused by incomplete documentation, unresolved asset issues, or missed procedural requirements.
Before concentrating on probate administration, Ruben worked extensively in guardianship, conservatorship, and elder-law matters. That experience provides him with a broader understanding of incapacity, long-term care, public benefits, fiduciary responsibility, and the circumstances that often precede estate administration.
Born and raised in the Washington metropolitan area, Ruben’s involvement in the Hispanic community contributed to his interest in law, public service, and advocacy. As a result, Ruben assists Spanish-speaking clients and families with probate administration, estate planning, guardianship, and related matters. He helps explain legal and procedural requirements in the client’s preferred language and facilitates communication with courts, financial institutions, family members, and other professionals.
Ruben earned his Bachelor of Science in Law and Public Policy from Liberty University and is completing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy and Law. He is a member of the National Guardianship Association and a commissioned Virginia Notary Public. Ruben is also a National Certified Guardian licensed through the Center for Guardianship Certification.
